Transformer Quality Management Specialist

About the role

The Transformer Quality Management Specialist will design, implement and lead a full life‑cycle quality management system for a Saudi transformer factory. This role ensures compliance with IEC, SASO and overseas owner standards while building a local quality culture and talent pool.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System covering IQC, IPQC, FQC and after‑sales quality.
• Create and update English‑language quality manuals, procedures, work instructions and forms in line with IEC, SASO and customer audit requirements.
• Manage supplier quality, including audits, assessments and handling abnormal quality claims.
• Lead internal investigations, non‑conformance reviews and CAPA tracking to closure.
• Coordinate on‑site audits with overseas customers, owners and certification bodies, and drive corrective actions.
• Handle customer quality complaints, conduct RCA and produce corrective action reports.
• Monitor quality performance, identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
• Train and develop local quality engineers and inspectors, establishing a talent development structure.
• Promote quality awareness across the organization through regular training.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, testing and supply‑chain teams to embed quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• 15+ years of end‑to‑end quality management experience in the transformer industry.
• Proven track record establishing QMS for overseas factories or projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC and SASO standards and overseas audit requirements.
• Extensive experience in supplier quality, non‑conformance, RCA and CAPA.
• Demonstrated leadership and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
