Underground Trainer / Assessor (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an Underground Trainer/Assessor to join our mining operation on a contract basis. The role supports the site’s safety, environmental and quality culture by delivering training, assessments and assistance to contractors and their personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with site management to continuously improve safety, environmental and quality performance.
• Train and assess contractors and associated personnel to meet RTO and industry competency standards.
• Communicate employee responsibilities and ensure they are managed accordingly.
• Support the contractor injury‑management system and assist in incident investigations.
• Develop knowledge, skills and abilities of staff in line with company policies.
• Provide assistance for resolving safety or environmental issues on site.
• Promote organisational policies and ensure compliance with safety reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health and safety training, assessment and compliance within challenging underground environments.
• Ability to conduct or support incident investigations and job hazard analyses.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality and environmental management plans.
• Excellent English communication skills (100% proficiency).
