Userplane Protocol Stack Engineer

About the role

The Userplane Protocol Stack Engineer will join a technically driven team in Saudi Arabia, focusing on the design and optimisation of modern communication systems. You will work across cloud, infrastructure and software domains to deliver secure, high-performance network solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support network communication solutions and protocol-driven components.
• Apply deep networking expertise to troubleshoot and optimise HTTP, DNS, TCP, UDP, SSH and RDP traffic.
• Develop software components using languages such as Go.NET, Java, C++ or C.
• Support cloud-based networking architectures, SaaS deployments, micro-services and Kubernetes environments.
• Work with major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement secure communication using WireGuard tunnels, gRPC and messaging systems.
• Ensure reliability and scalability of distributed systems and infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and Linux operating-system issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve performance and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of professional experience in networking, software engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocol operations.
• Hands-on experience with HTTP, DNS, TCP, UDP, SSH and RDP.
• Programming experience in at least one of Go.NET, Java, C++ or C.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, SaaS, micro-services architecture and Kubernetes.
• Experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
