Vehicle Software Support Engineer

About the role

Lucid is looking for a proactive Software Support Engineer to provide hands‑on technical assistance for internal development fleets and customer vehicles. You will work in a fast‑paced engineering environment, collaborating with software, hardware, validation, manufacturing, and quality teams to keep our luxury electric vehicles operating at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for development units, fleet vehicles, and customer vehicles.
• Operate on production lines and engineering labs to ensure system readiness and resolve issues.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot complex system‑level problems.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using logs, telemetry, and diagnostic data.
• Analyze system behavior, identify failure patterns, and isolate issues in multi‑component environments.
• Support integration, validation, and release activities across development and production phases.
• Create and manage issue reports, tracking progress to closure.
• Collaborate with suppliers and engineering partners for timely resolution.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation approximately one weekend per month.
• Contribute to technical reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technical support or system troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to perform root‑cause analysis in complex software‑hardware environments.
• Experience diagnosing issues across multiple interacting systems or components.
• Strong capability to analyze logs, telemetry, and system data to drive resolution.
• Background supporting system validation, testing, or production environments.
