Vendor Relations Specialist

About the role

The Vendor Relations Specialist at The Mughal Transport, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be responsible for managing relationships with transport and logistics vendors. The role ensures service quality, competitive pricing, and strict adherence to contract terms while supporting the company’s strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate rates and agreements with vendors to secure optimal pricing and service levels.
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed KPIs and address any service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, finance, and customer service to align vendor activities with business needs.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, performance data, and cost analyses.
• Analyze vendor data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Support risk management and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Contribute to strategic sourcing projects and vendor network optimization.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate vendor performance, pricing, and service metrics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building productive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid customer‑service orientation to resolve issues quickly.
• Foundational understanding of finance to interpret contracts and support cost‑optimization.
• Relevant experience in logistics, transportation, or supply‑chain vendor management (preferred).
• Organizational attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
