Windows OS Specialist

About the role

The organization is seeking a Windows OS Specialist to manage and support both physical and virtual enterprise servers across Windows and Linux environments. The role involves ensuring OS stability, security compliance, and high‑availability for critical business applications, including SAP workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support Windows Server (2010/2012/2016) and RHEL (7.x, 8.x, 9.x) servers, including clustering and high‑availability configurations.
• Perform OS patching, upgrades, security hardening, and resource monitoring on a regular basis.
• Manage and troubleshoot SCOM, SCCM, and AppDynamics agents, and provide automation guidance using Microsoft Orchestrator.
• Develop and maintain technical design documents, operational manuals, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with ERP, database, application, and web‑hosting teams for scheduled maintenance and incident resolution.
• Raise and follow up vendor tickets with Microsoft and Red Hat, handling logs, RCA, and issue reproduction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Windows and Linux server administration, clustering, and enterprise OS management.
• Proven ability to support SAP, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA on both Windows and RHEL platforms.

Required skills

• Windows Server 2010/2012/2016 administration.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9 administration.
• Windows Failover Clustering and Pacemaker (RedHat HA Extension).
• SCOM, SCCM, and AppDynamics agent management.
• Microsoft Orchestrator automation.
• Technical documentation and SOP creation.
• User/group account management, security policies, and compliance with NCA/NIC regulations.
