Accounting Clerk – Income Auditor

About the role

The Accounting Clerk – Income Auditor will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of income audit functions within the hotel’s Accounting Department. You will be responsible for verifying that all hotel revenues are accurately recorded and reported.

Key responsibilities

• Audit daily revenues from Night Audit, Front Desk, and Food & Beverage cashiers.
• Provide revenue summaries for daily and monthly reporting to the Accounting and Control Division.
• Monitor and verify data input from operational staff, ensuring completeness of guest ledger entries in Opera.
• Identify and report any irregularities in revenue postings to the Director of Finance.
• Audit charges to City Ledger, credit card companies, and other operated departments such as SPA, garage, retail, and laundry.
• Check banquet, telephone, internet, and other ancillary revenues for accuracy.
• Review cash reports, shortages/overages, and investigate substantial variances.
• Validate room rates, complimentary rooms, and house‑use transactions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of hotel revenue cycles and income audit processes.
• Attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with multiple departments.

Required skills

• Opera Property Management System (PMS)
• Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems
• Basic knowledge of City Ledger and credit‑card reconciliation
