Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager leads the financial accounting function, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with IFRS and local regulations, and timely delivery of financial information. This senior position supports strategic decision‑making and safeguards the integrity of the company’s financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing processes.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect financial assets.
• Design and enforce group accounting policies, standards, and processes based on IFRS and applicable GAAP.
• Coordinate annual audit activities and liaise with statutory auditors.
• Provide complex accounting guidance, including preparation of position papers and treatment of judgmental transactions.
• Drive improvements in ERP, reporting tools, and period‑end closure methodology.
• Collaborate with reporting, AP, AR, and other finance sub‑functions to ensure timely information flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, IFRS, and GAAP.
• Proven audit management experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
