Ansible Automation Engineer (L2) – Riyadh

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Ansible Automation Engineer (L2) to design, develop, integrate and support enterprise‑wide automation solutions for a large banking IT environment in Riyadh. The role focuses on automating daily operations, provisioning, patching, compliance validation and remediation across hybrid platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, OCI, AIX, Linux, Windows and mainframe ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable Ansible project structures using Collections, Roles, Playbooks and Execution Environments.
• Implement automation standards aligned with ITIL v4 and banking governance.
• Develop reusable Ansible Collections and publish them to a private Automation Hub/Galaxy.
• Integrate workflows with AWX/Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for RBAC, approvals, scheduling and auditability.
• Create CI/CD pipelines for automation lifecycle using GitLab CI and Jenkins, and automate testing with Molecule and ansible‑lint.
• Automate VM lifecycle management on VMware (vCenter, ESXi, NSX‑T, vSAN, vROps, SDDC Manager) and integrate with vRealize Orchestrator.
• Build automation for Nutanix cluster provisioning and OCI compute, networking, storage and Vault services.
• Develop scripts and integrations using Python, Bash, REST APIs, JSON/YAML parsing and Jinja2 templating.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in enterprise automation and DevOps within a banking or highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and ITSM integration.
• Hands‑on experience with hybrid infrastructure (VMware, Nutanix, OCI, Linux/Windows).
• Proven ability to design idempotent, secure and auditable automation solutions.
