About the role
Gartner’s Business Development Executives expand the company’s footprint by acquiring new Large Enterprise clients. You will build trust‑based relationships with C‑level executives, understand their strategic priorities, and guide them toward Gartner solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across a defined Large Enterprise territory.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from initial outreach and qualification to negotiation, closing, and hand‑off to account management.
- Align Gartner insights, guidance, and tools to create measurable client value.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high‑quality prospects to meet sales KPIs and quota.
- Forecast and plan accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Navigate complex, high‑revenue sales in matrixed, diverse business environments.
Required profile
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible‑sale environments.
- Proven business development or new‑client acquisition track record.
- Experience selling to or influencing C‑level executives.
- Consistent achievement of sales targets and accurate sales forecasting.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree desired.
