Business Owner – Financing Business Lead

About the role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to own and scale Zid Financing, a new business unit that provides merchant financing within our unified commerce ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall strategy, business model and growth plan for Zid Financing, including fund size, deployment and portfolio performance.
• Define and continuously improve merchant eligibility criteria, credit scoring and risk logic in partnership with data and product teams.
• Source, negotiate and manage funding partnerships with financial institutions, ensuring capacity aligns with business demand.
• Ensure compliance with SAMA regulations and Saudi lending requirements, managing regulatory and operational risks.
• Lead the full financing funnel from lead acquisition to portfolio management, optimizing conversion and decision time.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, tech, operations, finance, data and legal to deliver the financing roadmap.
• Own P&L performance, monitor revenue, margin and portfolio quality, and provide regular insights to leadership.
• Build and scale the team as the business grows, defining roles, KPIs and performance expectations.

Required profile

• Experience in a financing institution, fintech, bank or similar environment, with a strong understanding of financing products for e‑commerce or SME merchants.
• Proven track record of building a product, business or new initiative from the ground up, with P&L ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage commercial partnerships and negotiate funding agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi lending regulations (SAMA) and credit risk management.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, and strong stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high autonomy, and ability to make decisions in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.
