Business Planning Engineer – Petrochemical

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Business Planning Engineer located in Jubail. The role involves inventory management, pipeline sales, contract review, communication with customers, suppliers and regulators, preparation of annual production plans and monthly forecasts, price calculations, and development of management presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare forecasts in coordination with raw material and utilities suppliers and olefins buyers to ensure optimal capacity planning.
• Coordinate and liaise with government departments, private parties and neighboring companies regarding raw material/feedstock supplies, utilities and forecast requirements.
• Update the department database and master sheets on production, consumption, sales and performance indicators daily, weekly and monthly, and communicate updates to other departments.
• Prepare and review prices with pipeline sales quantities for month‑end closing.
• Prepare and review supply agreements for utilities, raw material and pipeline sales.
• Develop and monitor economic models and olefin inventory management to support management decision‑making for profitability.
• Support plant with tolling forecasts and coordinate with all parties.
• Prepare high‑level management presentations, charts, reports and analysis as requested.
• Participate in on‑call duty and holiday coverage on a rotation basis.
• Propose annual business‑plan contributions to management and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the petrochemical industry.
