Chief Accountant – Finance Shared Services Lead

About the role

The Finance Shared Services Center (SSC) in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and uphold internal control standards. This senior position will drive the finance function across all Bureau Veritas KSA entities while supporting business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance SSC in KSA, mentor and motivate the finance team.
• Set departmental objectives and oversee month‑/year‑end closing and reporting.
• Manage BV Group payments, receipts, invoicing, agreements and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and ensure compliance with internal control policies.
• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, P&L, tax liabilities and other financial activities.
• Analyse financial information, prepare management accounts in line with IFRS standards.
• Review actuarial valuations and liaise with auditors for timely financial and tax audits.
• Ensure timely tax submissions and meet quarterly, half‑yearly and annual group reporting requirements.
• Comply with BV KSA HSE policies, report incidents and promote a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong reporting, analytical, problem‑solving and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and HSSE training.
• Technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with internal control frameworks.
