Cloudera Engineer – Big Data Project (Onsite, KSA)

About the role

We are seeking a Cloudera Engineer to support a long‑term enterprise Big Data project in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on building and maintaining large‑scale Data Lakehouse environments using the Cloudera Data Platform and related Hadoop technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer and optimise Cloudera platforms (CDP/CDH).
• Design and manage scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines for batch and real‑time workloads.
• Support structured, semi‑structured and streaming data workloads using Hive, Spark, Kafka, NiFi and Impala.
• Integrate external enterprise data sources and collaborate with architecture, governance and analytics teams.
• Implement data governance, security controls and performance tuning across the environment.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Cloudera CDP/CDH and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Ability to work onsite in KSA for a 12‑18 month fixed‑term contract.
• Arabic language skills are a plus; fluent English communication is required.
