Cluster Director of Impact and Sustainability

About the role

The Cluster Director of Impact and Sustainability will lead the transformation of a hotel group into a purpose‑led organization. You will embed environmental and social impact practices across operations, design bespoke sustainability strategies for each property, and create actionable roadmaps that reinforce brand identity while delivering measurable positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Create customized roadmaps that translate the global sustainability mandate into property‑level actions.
• Align sustainability initiatives with brand positioning for each hotel.
• Drive internal ownership through awareness, education, and mobilised action.
• Collaborate with Rooms, F&B, Culinary, Talent & Culture, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Communications, and Procurement to reduce environmental footprints and implement circular solutions.
• Support community‑empowerment programs and ensure property goals match group ambitions.
• Coordinate implementation, cascade high‑level goals into specific milestones, and track progress.
• Analyse social‑impact metrics, provide recommendations, and fill awareness gaps with division heads.
• Develop authentic narratives, lead external communications, and integrate storytelling into the guest experience.
• Monitor compliance with regional regulations and sustainability certifications, delivering regular updates to leadership.
• Identify and grow partnerships with local businesses, suppliers, and NGOs aligned with profit‑with‑purpose objectives.

Required profile

• Proven ability to design and execute sustainability roadmaps in a multi‑property environment.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills across diverse hotel functions.
• Analytical mindset for interpreting impact metrics and translating insights into action.
• Excellent communication skills for internal storytelling and external media engagement.
