About the role
The Competition Manager will lead the planning, organization, and execution of the season’s competitions and related events. Reporting to the Head of the Global Competition Department, this role ensures smooth coordination between competition teams, resources, and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and organize the competition calendar and all associated events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for competition teams, addressing their questions and requests.
- Coordinate human, material, and other resources together with the Head of the Global Competition Department.
- Make operational decisions and propose improvements for competition development.
- Resolve incidents promptly and suggest effective solutions.
- Forecast equipment needs, manage inventory, and liaise with suppliers.
- Participate proactively in various projects and events.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive culture within the team and the wider organization.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating sports competitions or working in soccer clubs in a managerial capacity.
- Background as a soccer player, coach, or referee is a plus.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to handle unforeseen situations with confidence.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is highly preferred.
