Contracts Manager (Remote)

About the role

The Contracts Manager will lead all contract‑related activities for a rail construction project, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting the construction supervision phase. This remote position works closely with multiple departments to drive successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee administration of all project contracts, ensuring legal, financial and corporate compliance.
• Lead complex contract negotiations with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks while spotting opportunities.
• Provide regular progress reports to clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate with the Claims Manager to handle claims in line with contract terms.
• Supply necessary technical data to the Contract Administration Senior Manager.
• Prepare and deliver contractual presentations as required.
• Facilitate contractual progress meetings to ensure obligations are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPCM is highly desirable.
• Minimum 12 years of contract management experience, preferably in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts and industry standards; familiarity with FIDIC contracts is a plus.
• Proven negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience on rail or transportation projects is advantageous.
