Cost Control Manager

About the role

The Cost Control Manager will lead budgeting, cost monitoring and forecasting activities for project teams, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic objectives. This role collaborates closely with tendering, project management and senior leadership to drive cost efficiency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project budgets in partnership with the tendering department and monitor cost performance against these budgets.
• Identify, analyse and communicate variances, providing insights into causes and potential impacts.
• Implement corrective actions to address budget discrepancies and optimise operational efficiency.
• Establish and enforce cost‑control policies and procedures, working with project managers to identify cost‑reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
• Conduct cost forecasting at project completion and gather expenditure and revenue data from relevant departments.
• Prepare regular cost reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, budget status and trends.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and support policy development and compliance.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for budget and cost‑control activities, fostering a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost control within project‑oriented environments.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Familiarity with project management software.
