About the role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Service Line Operate Service Management Service Improvement team. You will drive advanced analytics, machine‑learning models and data‑driven insights to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain statistical models (descriptive, diagnostic, prescriptive & predictive) for NOC parameters such as alarms, tickets and work orders.
- Create use‑case models (e.g., live site downtime, genset battery health, CR dashboards) using real‑time data and manage the capability catalog.
- Develop scientific methods, processes and systems to extract actionable knowledge from large data sets.
- Translate complex algorithms into clear management insights and business intelligence reports.
- Collaborate with Proactive Problem Management, MSDM, CPM and operations SMEs to map value streams and eliminate non‑value activities.
- Explore Big Data tools and cloud technologies to support Ericsson’s operational transformation.
- Produce executive‑level visualisations and dashboards, ensuring irrelevant data does not obscure insights.
Required profile
- 7+ years of total experience with at least 3 years in data science, data modelling, machine learning or statistics.
- Hands‑on experience in managed services environments, preferably within telecom (RAN/Core).
- Strong understanding of service management functions and operational processes.
