About the role
Join the culinary team at Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah as a Demi Chef focused on Indian cuisine. You will work in a 5‑star environment close to Al Masjid Al Nabawi, supporting the creation of authentic Indian and Turkish dishes while upholding the highest standards of quality and hospitality.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking Indian dishes according to established recipes.
- Prepare and present authentic Turkish dishes as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Participate in menu planning and the development of new Turkish dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels and help control food costs and waste.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef or similar role, preferably with exposure to Indian cuisine.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑standards kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques.
