Demolition Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Demolition Specialist to execute routine demolition and site preparation tasks, ensuring high quality and safety standards on our infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform demolition and site preparation duties under general supervision while maintaining quality and safety compliance.
• Apply engineering techniques to evaluate, select, and implement solutions that meet construction specifications.
• Conduct independent walk‑downs and inspections to verify conformance with design requirements.
• Carry out detailed quantity surveys for accurate tracking and reporting of project progress.
• Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors to ensure consistent project standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in demolition, site preparation, or heavy construction.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety certification or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.

Required skills

• Operation of demolition equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Quantity surveying and project documentation.
• Use of construction management software and digital surveying tools.
• Knowledge of environmental remediation and hazardous materials handling.
