Destination Insights & Planning Analyst

About the role

The Destination Insights & Planning Analyst provides analytical and decision‑support capabilities across destination strategy, revenue management, business development and retail/leasing. The role analyses market, visitor and commercial data, builds forecasts and translates complex information into clear insights for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market, competitor and destination benchmarking to support strategic planning.
• Analyse visitor profiles, demand patterns and market trends, turning data into actionable recommendations.
• Develop business cases, financial models, scenario and sensitivity analyses for commercial opportunities.
• Monitor revenue, pricing, utilization and other KPIs, identifying trends and forecasting demand.
• Analyse retail/leasing performance, tenant mix and benchmark rental rates.
• Consolidate, clean and reconcile data from multiple sources; build structured datasets and dashboards using Power BI.
• Prepare executive‑level reports, dashboards and presentations for senior leadership.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in destination/tourism development, real estate, hospitality or related analytical roles.
• Strong structured problem‑solving, attention to detail and ability to work with incomplete data.
• Excellent executive communication skills and ability to present complex analysis to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple analytical priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Power BI, including Power Query, data modelling and DAX.
• PowerPoint for executive presentations.
• Working knowledge of SQL (preferred).
• Exposure to Python, VBA and Power Automate (advantageous).
