Director, Tax Transaction Advisory Services

About the role

The Transaction Tax Advisory team is seeking a Director to lead tax and Zakat advisory for complex buy‑side and sell‑side transactions across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region. This senior, client‑facing position combines technical tax expertise with business development and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and commercial oversight on tax and Zakat due‑diligence projects for transactions.
• Advise on pre‑ and post‑acquisition tax structuring, including inputs to legal documents and financial models.
• Deliver inbound and outbound tax/Zakat advisory services to multinational investors.
• Design international and domestic tax and Zakat planning strategies.
• Oversee cross‑border tax issues such as earnings repatriation, tax credit planning, mergers, financing and intangibles.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for Saudi clients, maintaining proactive communication.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Economics or related degree with focus on accounting, auditing or taxes.
• 9+ years of tax and transaction experience, recent work in Saudi Arabia and MENA.
• Strong understanding of private‑equity and sovereign‑wealth‑fund structures.
• Familiarity with MENA taxes such as VAT, RETT, customs and social security.
• Proven project oversight and management capabilities.
• High work ethic and commitment to personal excellence.
