Faculty Member – Community Nursing

About the role

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified Faculty Member in Community Nursing to join its Nursing Program. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality academic and clinical education, promote community health practices, and prepare students for patient‑centered care in diverse public‑health settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver community nursing lectures, tutorials, labs and supervise clinical rotations.
• Facilitate case‑based learning, health‑promotion activities and community assessment projects.
• Prepare and grade assessments, assignments and clinical evaluations while maintaining accurate records.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and feedback to support student development.
• Participate in research, conferences and curriculum improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and contribute to quality‑assurance activities.
• Engage in community outreach, health‑awareness campaigns and partnerships with local health centres.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Nursing with a focus on Community or Public Health Nursing.
• Valid professional nursing license/registration.
• Clinical experience in community or public‑health nursing.
• Teaching experience in nursing education (preferred).
• Familiarity with simulation‑based teaching and educational technologies.
• Experience using an LMS, preferably Blackboard.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS.
• Simulation‑based teaching techniques.
• Use of digital learning platforms and tools.
