Field Slurry Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Field Slurry Engineer to lead slurry conditioning, process control, and personnel supervision for a remote industrial waste slurrification and reinjection project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring slurry quality from receipt through pre‑injection readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead slurry preparation, conditioning, and low‑pressure transfer activities.
• Define and maintain slurry targets (density, solids loading, rheology, gel strength, suspension stability).
• Design mixing workflows, recirculation loops, and tank sequencing to avoid dead zones.
• Optimize agitation, jetting, and recirculation settings for suspension control.
• Troubleshoot solids dropout, pumpability limits, line plugging, and shaker/grinder inefficiencies.
• Select and manage chemical dosing (dispersants, surfactants, biocides, scavengers) ensuring system compatibility.
• Supervise and coach junior engineers and operators, develop SOPs and checklists.
• Maintain operational records, track key metrics, and recommend continuous improvements.
• Provide advisory support to Pumping Field Engineer during injection windows.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in petroleum, chemical, mechanical, process or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in mud engineering, drilling fluids, slurry systems or comparable field fluid‑processing operations.
• Direct experience with CRI, slurry reinjection or cuttings reinjection.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across tanks, shakers and grinders.
