Finance Business Partner – Manufacturing

About the role

Lucid is seeking a Finance Business Partner to drive financial planning, cost target setting, and advanced cost modeling for its manufacturing operations. The role partners closely with manufacturing teams to ensure cost discipline and provide actionable financial insights that support both operational and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and track manufacturing cost targets (HPU, CPU) and maintain shop‑level cost centers across stamping, body, paint, assembly, powertrain, battery, utilities, and logistics.
• Manage standard costing processes, perform variance analysis at the shop level, and develop vehicle‑level cost targets based on production volumes.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, compare actuals to budget and forecast, and deliver root‑cause variance analysis.
• Develop ROI and NPV analyses for manufacturing investments and cost‑optimization initiatives, building profitability models with payback periods and return metrics.
• Conduct benchmarking studies, support cost‑reduction projects, and link key manufacturing KPIs (OEE, throughput, rework, downtime, scrap) to financial impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial planning, cost modeling, and variance analysis within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop business cases, perform investment analysis, and influence senior‑level decision making.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost discipline and continuous improvement.
