Head of English Language Arts (American Curriculum)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of English Language Arts to build and lead a new American high‑school offering in Saudi Arabia. This remote position will shape a rigorous, tech‑enabled ELA program from the ground up while also teaching one online section.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the ELA curriculum for Grades 9‑10, including units, lesson plans, assessments and homework for Noon’s hybrid platform.
• Lead, train and support a team of ELA teachers to deliver the curriculum in a blended remote‑classroom model.
• Teach one online ELA section, delivering lessons that align with the curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Continuously adapt and improve instructional materials using EdTech and digital tools to boost engagement and differentiation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine delivery methods, assessment strategies and overall learning journeys.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing and delivering International American high‑school ELA curriculum aligned to CCSS standards.
• Experience teaching English to learners for whom it is a second language.
• Recognized teaching qualification (BA/MA in English, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent).
• Native English speaker from an English‑speaking country with reliable internet and professional video setup.
• Availability to work full‑time Sunday‑to‑Thursday (GMT +3), with possible half‑day flexibility.
