Head of Financial Control

About the role

The bank is seeking an experienced senior finance professional to own the end‑to‑end financial control function. This GM/Chief‑level position will lead the Reconciliation Centre of Excellence, ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement across finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Bank's Reconciliation Centre of Excellence, overseeing general ledger management, balance‑sheet substantiation and month‑end close across all business units.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial, management and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee Tax, Zakat and withholding‑tax compliance in line with ZATCA requirements, maintaining robust controls and documentation.
• Manage the accounts‑payable function and the fixed‑asset register, guaranteeing alignment with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Drive continuous process‑improvement and automation initiatives across finance operations.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing financial‑control team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 15+ years of senior finance experience within the banking sector.
• Hands‑on expertise in technical and operational accounting, GL management, month‑end close and tax compliance.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams and managing complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Fluent Arabic for interaction with local regulators.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Willingness to relocate to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Experience with general‑ledger systems such as Oracle or comparable platforms.
• Proficiency in accounts‑payable and fixed‑asset management tools.
