Head of Operations – Digital Bank

About the role

The digital bank in Riyadh is seeking a Head of Operations to drive operational excellence and support rapid growth. Reporting to the COO, you will lead day‑to‑day activities across multiple functions, ensuring resilience, efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the bank’s objectives.
• Lead and optimise daily banking operations for efficiency, scalability, and service excellence.
• Drive transformation and continuous‑improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, operational metrics, and performance frameworks.
• Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams to streamline processes.
• Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and third‑party/vendor relationships.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, governance standards, and risk‑management practices.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing operations teams in a digital banking environment.
• Support executive leadership in strategic planning and execution of key initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations leadership within banking, fintech, financial services, or digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of operational best practices, process optimisation, and performance management.
• Proven experience leading operational transformation and change‑management initiatives.
• Analytical, data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline (advanced qualifications advantageous).
