Material Handling Officer

About the role

The Material Handling Officer ensures safe, accurate, and efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials within Salehiya Healthcare’s supply chain. This role supports warehouse operations, maintains inventory accuracy, and complies with healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end processes of receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching materials in line with company SOPs.
• Maintain integrity of sensitive healthcare products by adhering to cold‑chain requirements and regulatory standards.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while enforcing safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
• Perform regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliations, ensuring accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and cross‑functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or non‑compliance issues promptly for corrective action.
• Support initiatives to optimize warehouse space utilization, handling efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Handle product returns and disposals according to protocols and maintain a clean, well‑maintained work area.

Required profile

• Experience in warehouse operations, preferably handling medical or pharmaceutical products.
• Knowledge of cold‑chain handling and relevant regulatory standards.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and responsibly.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Effective collaboration with logistics and cross‑functional teams.
