Mathematics Instructor – Teach Algebra, Calculus & Statistics

About the role

We are seeking a Mathematics Instructor to deliver high‑quality instruction in foundational mathematics topics such as algebra, pre‑calculus, calculus and statistics. The role supports diverse learners preparing for university programmes in Business, Engineering and ICT.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Fundamentals of Algebra, Pre‑Calculus and/or Applied Math (Calculus/Statistics) courses.
• Develop and deliver clear, well‑organized lessons that build mathematical competence and conceptual understanding.
• Utilise contemporary teaching methodologies and educational technology to enhance learning.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of course content and delivery.
• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles.
• Provide scaffolding, individualized support, office hours, academic advising and pastoral care.
• Design and administer assessments, give constructive feedback and identify areas for additional support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate mathematics instruction across the foundation year.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and attendance, and engage in department meetings and professional development.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 2 years of professional teaching experience at the university preparatory or undergraduate level.
• Strong subject‑matter expertise in algebra, pre‑calculus and calculus.
• Fluency in English (written and oral) for teaching in an English‑medium academic environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Proficiency using online assessment tools.
