Mechanical Design Engineer – Heavy Equipment

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will join a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Dammam, designing mechanical systems for armored vehicles and security equipment. This full‑time, on‑site position involves the entire product lifecycle from concept to detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Perform engineering calculations, stress and tolerance analyses, and ensure designs meet performance, durability and safety criteria.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define product requirements and support prototype builds and testing.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and incorporate feedback from production and field use.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in design reviews, adhering to international and military standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (advanced degrees a plus).
• Experience in automotive, defense, heavy equipment or related sectors, especially in structural design, vibration and durability.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and standards, and to communicate effectively in English (Arabic a plus).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.
