Mechanical QC Inspector – Level I

About the role

The Mechanical QC Inspector (Level I) ensures that all mechanical inspection activities are performed safely, efficiently and in line with technical requirements, company policies and the Management System. The role supports the Mechanical and Pressure Testing department on projects across the maritime sector, guaranteeing compliance with client specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review work orders, inspection manuals and blue‑prints to define inspection and test requirements.
• Conduct functional and dimensional tests on components, assemblies and finished products, recording results and marking items for acceptance or rejection.
• Oversee mechanical equipment installation and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to approved procedures and client specifications.
• Maintain preservation of project equipment according to company standards and vendor recommendations.
• Prepare and endorse inspection records from initial inspection through final acceptance.
• Develop method statements, risk assessments, Inspection & Test Plans and check‑lists as required.
• Interface with clients to confirm that contractual and code requirements are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience in mechanical inspection, welding inspection or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment installation, commissioning and pressure testing.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, blue‑prints and specifications.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and information security policies.
