Medical and Clinical Affairs Quality Specialist

About the role

The Medical and Clinical Affairs Quality Specialist will lead the planning, organization and facilitation of the Quality Management Plan for the Medical and Clinical Affairs (MCA) division. This role supports strategic quality initiatives, risk management and accreditation activities to enhance clinical, educational and operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and track strategic quality initiatives, goals and objectives, preparing status reports for MCA administration.
• Prepare analytical reports that inform executive decision‑making on management, clinical and education performance.
• Direct and coordinate MCA risk management strategy and related activities.
• Support hospital accreditation processes within the MCA division.
• Coordinate quality management activities, including performance improvement indicators, policies and procedures.
• Consult on and participate in performance improvement projects, clinical pathways, best‑practice and benchmarking initiatives.
• Provide education and training on quality management and performance improvement concepts to nursing and MCA staff.
• Participate in committees, task forces and cross‑functional teams as required.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management or a related discipline.
• Five years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or seven years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Certification such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), ASQ certification, or an international equivalent.
