Merchant Acquisition Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an energetic Merchant Acquisition Specialist to join Tamara’s In‑store Operations team. You will be on the ground visiting new and existing partner stores, signing new merchants and ensuring our in‑store marketing efforts are effective.

Key responsibilities

• Active merchant outreach: identify and approach potential merchants in physical store locations, present Tamara’s services and explain partnership benefits.
• Relationship building: establish and nurture strong relationships with merchants, understand their needs and position solutions accordingly.
• On‑site demonstrations: conduct in‑person product or service demos, address concerns and secure new partnerships.
• Market intelligence gathering: collect and report market insights, competitor activities and merchant feedback to inform strategy and product development.
• Conversion and onboarding: guide interested merchants through application and onboarding, ensuring smooth transition and long‑term partnership.

Required profile

• Minimum of internship or co‑op experience in sales or business development, up to 2 years of experience.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and eager to learn within the BNPL sector.
• Adaptable, resilient and able to thrive in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
• Valid KSA driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with CRM software (a plus).
