Metallurgy Technician – Laboratory & Field Testing

About the role

Element is seeking a Metallurgy Technician to support both laboratory and on‑site metallurgical operations. The role involves performing routine mechanical and metallurgical tests, ensuring compliance with international standards, and delivering accurate reports.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine mechanical testing such as tensile, bend, Charpy impact, hardness and CTOD.
• Perform metallurgical examinations including micro‑ and macro‑analysis of metal samples.
• Participate in site and field testing activities as required.
• Ensure all work complies with ISO 17025 requirements.
• Coordinate with team technicians to follow the planned testing schedule.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy or a related discipline.
• 2‑4 years of experience in a metallurgy testing laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and codes.
• Excellent report writing and communication abilities.
