Network Security Engineer

About the role

The Network Security Engineer will protect the organization’s network infrastructure by designing, implementing, and managing security solutions. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data while aligning with internal policies and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Administer Fortinet products including FortiGate and FortiMail.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM platforms.
• Identify vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation, and perform regular security assessments.
• Manage security policies, rules, and access controls.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to secure infrastructure and applications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for configurations and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong experience with network security technologies (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS).
• Hands‑on experience with Fortinet solutions.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat and vulnerability management.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• Experience with cloud security (Azure or AWS) preferred.
• Exposure to SOC operations or incident response.
• Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001 or NCA.
