About the role
The Operations and Customer Service Specialist will ensure flawless execution of air and ocean shipments for our logistics client in Saudi Arabia. You will act as the main point of contact for customers, sales teams, and network partners, guiding shipments through export and import processes while adhering to company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange collections, request documentation, and book shipments with carriers for export operations.
- Prepare export documents (BL, AWB), coordinate with handling agents, and oversee customs clearance.
- Monitor shipments, send pre‑alerts, resolve export issues, and invoice destination offices.
- Receive inbound pre‑alerts, schedule deliveries, coordinate with consignees, and manage import customs clearance.
- Release BL, prepare import documents, obtain proof of delivery, and invoice origin offices.
- Maintain accurate data in the AS400 system, follow SOPs, and monitor KPIs.
- Support quotes, pricing requests, and identify business opportunities for the sales team.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of air and ocean import/export procedures.
- Prior experience in a freight forwarding company is mandatory.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the AS400 operating system.
