Procurement Officer – Industrial & Steel Procurement

About the role

Alif is seeking a Procurement Officer to lead industrial and factory procurement activities within the iron and steel sector in Jeddah. The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure cost‑effective sourcing for critical materials.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement of steel, iron and related raw materials for manufacturing operations.
• Negotiate terms, prices and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Manage budgets, monitor cost savings and control expenditures.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions and prioritize multiple procurement requests.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on procurement experience, preferably in an industrial or factory setting.
• Direct experience sourcing steel, iron or related metal products.
• Proven negotiation and budget management capabilities.
• Strong decision‑making skills and ability to handle supply‑related issues.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage several priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent English communication skills.
