Psychological Counselor

About the role

The Psychological Counselor will support the psychological wellbeing, emotional adjustment and personal development of students at the university. Working within the Students Affairs Deanship, the role provides professional counseling services to students facing emotional, behavioral, social or academic challenges that affect their performance and overall health.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and behavioral assessments of prospective and enrolled students, including scholarship recipients.
• Provide individual counseling sessions addressing behavioral, psychological, social, or academic difficulties.
• Facilitate group counseling and developmental activities to enhance coping skills and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate clinical case records in line with university policies and ethical standards.
• Review faculty reports on student cases, coordinate follow‑up actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Design and deliver workshops, seminars and psycho‑educational programs on study skills, time management, exam preparation and resilience.
• Collaborate with academic departments and support units to develop and implement student wellbeing initiatives.
• Participate in university events to promote counseling services and mental health resources.

Required profile

• Saudi national of the highest caliber.
• Ability to conduct assessments and deliver counseling using appropriate therapeutic approaches.
• Experience working with students in an academic environment.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.
