Quality Control Inspector – Electrical & Instrumentation – Offshore

About the role

SGS is seeking experienced Quality Control Inspectors (QCI) specialized in Electrical & Instrumentation for offshore projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring that all materials, equipment and construction activities meet the highest quality standards on offshore installations.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Carry out inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue quality records and prepare non‑conformance reports for the QC Supervisor.
• Verify compliance with the Quality Control Plan and the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Manage documentation certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Check special processes, worker qualifications and conformity of power transformers, switchboards, batteries, lighting systems, RTUs, instruments and cables.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests and rating checks.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction, with mandatory offshore exposure.
• ARAMCO approval in Electrical & Instrumentation (CBT).
• Familiarity with engineering standards and codes used in offshore installation, cable lay and EPC projects.
