Regional Controller – MENA (Riyadh)

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Controller for the MENA region, based in Riyadh, to lead the controllership function for our consulting businesses, Oliver Wyman and Mercer. The role will partner with senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, compliance and commercial insight across a multi‑entity, multi‑country portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional controllership function for Oliver Wyman and Mercer across MENA.
• Manage monthly close, financial consolidation and group reporting in line with global timelines.
• Oversee statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting for multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Drive revenue recognition for consulting and project‑based engagements, including work‑in‑progress management, percentage‑of‑completion accounting and IFRS 15 compliance.
• Ensure accurate and consistent revenue reporting across the portfolio.
• Oversee regional tax compliance, including Saudi corporate income tax, Zakat, VAT and other GCC tax requirements.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and liaise with group tax functions.
• Monitor evolving tax regulations and coordinate filings with local authorities such as ZATCA.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with experience in controllership for consulting or professional services firms.
• Proven track record managing multi‑entity, multi‑country financial reporting and consolidation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition for project‑based work.
• In‑depth understanding of Saudi tax law, Zakat, VAT and GCC tax frameworks.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting in a fast‑growth environment.
