Remote Sensing Environmental Analyst

About the role

The Remote Sensing Environmental Analyst will use satellite imagery and aerial data to monitor and assess environmental hazards. This position supports the university’s mission to protect public safety and promote sustainable environmental practices through advanced geospatial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize remote sensing technologies and GIS to identify, monitor, and evaluate hazards such as natural disasters, pollution, and land degradation.
• Analyze collected data, transforming raw information into actionable insights for risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders, providing expert advice on environmental hazard issues.
• Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies based on analytical results.

Required profile

• Strong background in environmental science and a solid understanding of environmental hazards.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in developing and executing risk mitigation plans.
