Security Equipment Operation Specialist

About the role

The Security Equipment Operation Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient inspection of incoming items and vehicles using X‑ray technology. Working under close supervision, the specialist conducts operational activities, prepares reports, and supports senior specialists in detecting prohibited materials.

Key responsibilities

• Review and optimise X‑ray team staffing, schedules and rotation plans.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for inspection equipment.
• Classify and prioritise received items and vehicles based on sensitivity and urgency.
• Perform X‑ray inspections of items, documents and vehicles, separating suspicious findings.
• Generate detailed X‑ray result reports and stamp inspected items.
• Coordinate vehicle movement through X‑ray lanes and flag dubious cases for manual or K‑9 inspection.
• Monitor equipment status, report issues and coordinate maintenance actions.
• Produce operational reports highlighting equipment needs and gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in security screening or X‑ray operations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate and follow up on tasks.
• Orientation toward results, professionalism and compliance verification.
