Senior Accountant – Travel & Tour Division

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead financial operations for our Travel & Tour Division. The role combines travel‑industry accounting with Saudi regulatory compliance, ensuring the division’s financial integrity and supporting its growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closings, including bank, BSP, supplier and receivables reconciliations.
• Monitor revenue from ticketing, hotel bookings, tour packages, visa services and transport, and verify commissions from airlines, GDS providers and partners.
• Track cost of sales, calculate tour package margins and analyse profitability by destination, service type or branch.
• Perform BSP reconciliation and manage statements from airlines, hotels, DMCs and transport suppliers.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, corporate invoicing, collection follow‑up and supplier payment approvals.
• Ensure correct VAT treatment for domestic, international, zero‑rated and exempt travel services and submit VAT returns in line with ZATCA requirements.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for strategic decision‑making.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, maintaining documentation and internal controls.
• Supervise and develop junior accounting staff, building capability in travel accounting and VAT compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the travel and tourism sector.
• Active membership with SOCPA.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with BSP reconciliation and travel accounting systems.
• Working knowledge of Saudi VAT regulations and ZATCA e‑invoicing (FATOORA).
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
