Senior Cost Accountant – Cost Control

About the role

Botanica is building a structured SAP costing environment across multiple departments and cost centres. We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to own the month‑end costing close, ensure accurate cost allocation, and provide reliable profitability reporting at the contract and revenue‑stream level.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end costing close in SAP, including cost allocations, activity price runs, overhead cycles and internal order settlement.
• Allocate cost‑centre expenses (labour, depreciation, overhead) to orders and revenue streams on a monthly basis.
• Manage production and trading costing, including finished‑goods valuation, production variance analysis and trading COGS.
• Maintain contract‑level profitability tracking for landscape maintenance and ensure correct inter‑company transfer pricing.
• Prepare gross‑profit and profitability‑by‑revenue‑stream reports against budget, supporting management KPIs.
• Strengthen cost allocation controls with independent review and sign‑off of monthly allocations.
• Act as the SAP Controlling (CO) module lead, supporting system implementation and automating manual processes.
• Maintain general‑ledger accounts, ensure accurate postings, and perform GL reconciliations before month‑end.
• Support revenue recognition and reconciliation by revenue stream, linking revenue GLs to cost‑centre activity.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for financial systems and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in cost accounting or financial controlling, preferably in a manufacturing or trading environment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP CO module and month‑end closing procedures.
• Proven ability to analyse cost data, identify variances and drive profitability insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
