Senior CT/MRI/Nuclear Medicine Radiology Technician

About the role

The Senior Radiology Technician will perform CT and MRI examinations, support radiologists in specialized procedures, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and image quality. This position is integral to delivering person‑centered care within a multidisciplinary imaging department.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine CT and MRI scans in accordance with departmental policies.
• Assist senior staff with specialized imaging procedures.
• Verify patient identity and study site before each exam.
• Screen female patients for possible pregnancy and remind them of safety considerations.
• Implement radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Remove radio‑opaque objects for CT and remind patients of ferromagnetic items for MRI.
• Apply sterile and aseptic techniques as required.
• Inspect and maintain imaging equipment daily, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, health conditions, and preventive measures.
• Participate in continuous improvement, safety, confidentiality, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of post‑diploma experience in radiology practice.
• Relevant radiographic or technological diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid practice license from the regional health authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA).
• Excellent oral and written English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
