Senior Manager – Legal Counsel (Contentious Matters)

About the role

Deloitte’s Quality, Risk, Security (QRS) department is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Contentious Matters portfolio across the Middle East and Cyprus region. You will work closely with the General Counsel, providing strategic guidance and managing complex dispute resolution matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Counsel (Contentious Matters Leader) in managing the portfolio of contentious matters.
• Serve as the first point of contact for queries and escalations from the Contentious Matters team.
• Oversee the Contentious Matters portfolio across 16 countries and approximately 20 jurisdictions.
• Issue clear, detailed instructions to external counsel and coordinate their activities.
• Formulate procedural and substantive case strategies.
• Prepare regular reports and updates for the General Counsel.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Law or a related field from a reputable university.
• Qualified common‑law practitioner with a minimum of 12 years post‑admission experience in dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
