Senior Product Engineer

About the role

Advanced Metals Company (AMCO) is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join its Rotating Equipment department in Al Khobar. The role focuses on designing new oilfield products, improving existing designs, and leading research and development activities to boost operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development for gate valves, hammer unions, OCTG products, API wellheads, pressure‑control equipment and wireline tools.
• Prepare and approve engineering drawings, 3D models, calculations, Bills of Materials and technical specifications.
• Conduct design verification and produce Design Verification Reports in line with API 6A, 16A, 16C, 5CT and 5B standards.
• Drive product improvement through design optimisation, material selection and value engineering.
• Manage Product Lifecycle Management activities, including data governance, engineering change workflows and lifecycle documentation.
• Issue engineering change orders, technical circulars and controlled document updates.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, preparing proposals, quotations and supporting product applications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, commercial and field service teams to ensure design intent is correctly implemented.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in product design and development for oilfield or rotating equipment.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical information to customers and internal teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost‑efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
