Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mega Civil Project (Roads)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh, working on a mega‑scale civil infrastructure project focused on roads, highways, bridges and tunnels in an urban environment. The role involves overseeing all cost‑related matters, ensuring accurate payment certification, and managing change orders to protect project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Control cost implications of change orders, site instructions and measurements.
• Certify interim payments and value change orders or adjustments to provisional quantities.
• Monitor and update project costs, alerting the Project Manager and Commercial Manager to potential overruns.
• Conduct re‑measurements and review contractors’ payment applications and correspondence.
• Coordinate with other packages and disciplines, logging contractual correspondence.
• Assess cost impact of value‑engineering proposals and monitor the estimate of the final account.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Quantity Surveying Department and the Contract Administrator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional affiliation with RICS, IQS, ICES or CIOB.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in project management on mega‑construction projects, with at least one road‑focused project.
• Strong understanding of construction, design and engineering principles, local building codes and safety standards.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Excellent communication, report writing and teamwork abilities.
• Transferable Iqama for non‑Saudis and valid SCE membership.
